5 Peaks Canmore #2 Sept 7, 2024

I came over here to read my race report and apparently I haven't written one yet.  Oh good.  Please enjoy my forthcoming slightly short race report.

Canmore 1 was so excellent we signed up for Canmore 2.  As you can see, blue skies and gorgeous sunshine seem to be a theme.  

The course is completely different from the first one.  Again, we are both doing the Sport distance.

Sunshine, trees, trails.  What more could you need?  I also enjoy being completely wrecked (and generally purple) at the end of an event.  The hills are challenging for sure.

5 Peaks have put on great events this year, it's a great alternative to road running without being Grizzly Ultra trail level.  Also, did I mention the photos are free and very very good, which is not typical.  Honestly, I'll happily pay for good race photos every time.

I do love the post race watermelon, Kevin is having a balls of some kind (donut?)

We didn't hang around afterwards despite the weather because I wanted to see Beetlejuice before our LA trip where we were doing an 'immersive experience'.
